Subhendu Das was born to two young dentists in 1990's. His parents always wanted him to pursue medical sciences while he always dreamt of building his own startup!
Subhendu believed that doing something of his own gave him a purpose and the sense of independence. Therefore, keeping in mind that the technology industry was expanding, he pursued a BCA and MCA from Calcutta University.
Once Subhendu graduated, he was on the outlook for multiple resources he would need in bringing his dream to reality, i.e. investors, mentors, supply chain networks and others. When one day, he visited his CS to discuss plans with her and she referred him to SK A&G: Tier 1 Startup Consultants in India.
The Student Entrepreneurs Bootcamp by SK A&G turned to be an all in one for Subhendu. His worries about the legal processes, marketing knowledge, supply chain networks and investors; all ended at once when he went through the Bootcamp Brochure. His prayers had been answered. He believed that his journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur had started.
First Impressions: Market Indicators
The first module Subhendu underwent was Market Research which gave him a deep insight on how the distribution systems worked in retail businesses. Subhendu made a list of all logistics and supply chain vendors including costs and investments into his B-Plan. Post which he also worked on various other aspects such as pitching VC's, learning corporate compliances, using digital marketing softwares and many more.
Incorporation of Business Idea
Post completion of Bootcamp, getting investments and negotiations with all vendors, came the most important part: formation of the company. Thus, with the help of SK A&G's Legal Teams, Subhendu incorporated Ulterior Netcare and Infocom Pvt Ltd in Kolkata to provide various computer parts, services, repairs and sell new models directly to wholesalers and small scale vendors.
From laptop showrooms to small retail shop owners, various vendors purchased computers, tablets and laptops from Ulterior Netcare and Infocom Pvt Ltd, helping Subhendu scale it to 10 crores of turnovers in just three months of incorporation.
The Day of Fall
Everyone falls. A kid does so before he learns walking. Children keep falling off their bicycles before they learn riding. The world comprises of ups and downs which come in everyone's life as they did in Subhendu's. When West Bengal Government decided to expand its roads, they choose to takeover some plots nearby, one of which was the godown of Ulterior Netcare and Infocom Pvt Ltd.
This came as a huge blow to Subhendu who was visiting his relatives in Orissa at that time. By the time he was back, all that was left of his goods were some pieces of laptops etc after being grounded by JBB's and Road Rollers.
This shattered Shubhendu who's major business ran on margins from selling these goods in bulk. However, he didn't lose hope and filed a claim for an insurance that SK A&G had referred him at the time of commencement of business.
The Day after Dawn
SK A&G always knew that such occurrences might happen as they were frequent in logistics and manufacturing industries. Therefore, our Business Mentors ensured Subhendu had an insurance before he started his business. Later on, he claimed his insurance and put his business back to shape.
